Marjatta Lee is a Managing Director in Modern's Organizational Consulting group. She helps organizations change how their people work to improve business outcomes.
With over a decade of experience across industries, Marjatta partners with senior leaders to translate strategy into sustainable ways of working. Her work focuses on the human side of transformation: aligning culture, organizational structure, leadership, and talent so that new ways of working are embedded across the organization.
Marjatta specializes in turning complex, large-scale change into practical, scalable action. She has led enterprise-wide transformations, global change programs, and culture initiatives that required shifts in behavior across thousands of employees. She combines rigor with insight into human motivation and organizational dynamics, ensuring that change is both operationally sound and built to last.
Prior to joining Modern, Marjatta worked in Accenture's Talent and Organization practice and Deloitte's Human Capital practice, where she advised clients on organizational design, culture change, leadership development, and learning strategy. She is known for helping leaders set a direction for change, designing the systems that support that change, and building the internal capability required to sustain it.
Marjatta earned her M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in Finance, Economics, Strategic Management, Operations Management, Entrepreneurship, and International Business. She also holds a Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from New York University and a Bachelor's degree in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from The University of Chicago.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, rowing, singing, cooking, and reading.
