For nearly a decade, Larry has led one of the world's largest community of big company CHROs. Known today as M1 CHRO, part of Modern, it is over 400 CHROs from 27 countries who average 75,000 employees per company. He brings them together in meetings of various designs, all over the world, and does advisory and coaching work with CHROs and their teams.
Previously, Larry spent over 25 years at Gallup, where he held several roles, including Chief Marketing Officer and co-leading their enterprise business globally. He was also was the executive editor and publisher of several books, including First, Break All the Rules; Now, Discover Your Strengths; Strengths Based Leadership; CliftonStrengths; The Coming Jobs War, and others that have collectively sold over 20 million copies. Before joining Gallup, he worked for several years at the Japan Management Association Research Institute, a regional economic and management think tank.
He received his bachelor's degree in international commerce, Asian Studies, and Japanese language from San Diego State University. He moves between homes in Barcelona and Denver.
